Terroir Restaurant

Hungerford Hill’s fine dining, award-winning restaurant, Terroir, features contemporary cuisine of the highest echelon. While each course is skillfully matched to our stylish wines, Terroir also has an extensive list of cellared, international favourites and is why we achieved the ‘Wine Spectator’ Award of Excellence ‘07. Terroir’s Sommelier is also committed to exploring emerging wines and regions.

Hayden Ellerton, Head Chef of Terroir Restaurant, trained under the legendary three-hatted chef Peter Doyle and has been a professional chef for over ten years. He has accumulated diverse culinary experience from a number of leading Sydney restaurants including Cicada, Celcius, est. and Beach Road. Hayden has enormous passion and commitment and ensures that Terroir Restaurant continues to live up to the reputation that Hungerford Hill has created over the years as a leading food and wine destination in the Hunter Valley.

Terroir Bar & Dining

Terroir Bar & Dining offers warmth and ambience in its chic Wine Bar and all-day, all season alfresco dining experience. The Terroir Bar & Dining concept brings an elemental alternative to fine dining, with the introduction of all day, casual dining available 7 days in both the Wine Bar and Terrace.

Chef, Hayden Ellerton, has created a contemporary, lighter style menu with options to suit all. The new offering is perfect for a quick bite to eat, something a little more substantial, or create your own degustation from the tasting plate selection. Couple this with a drop from our award-winning global wine list and you have an indulgent afternoon of alfresco dining.

So, whether it’s a business meeting over a Toby’s Estate coffee, a corporate or social reception, an afternoon glass of Rosè and cheese plate, or tasting plate degustation with French bubbles, Terroir Bar & Dining is yours to discover.

Open 7 days 10am - 5pm
Bar only open Wed to Sat evenings
